Laughter In March 2026

Here's another brief blog. Thank goodness it is a form of writing! Hopefully I'll be working on my next Planet Pinch book (5), or back to editing my novel, Phinch And Leggett (PAL), but I don't think it will be today. Sometimes I wonder how I have managed to publish 23 books, because when I write, the back key is the one I use the most.

Recently I have been thinking a lot about comedy.

I used to watch a lot of tv comedy shows and dramas with my dad. He loved all sorts including Love Thy Neighbour, On The Buses, Dave Allen, Tommy Cooper, Two Ronnies, Les Dawson, and many, many more.

The following comedy sketches never fail to make me laugh. I believe a sense of humour is absolutely necessary and laughter is healthy. In my opinion if my tripping/falling over makes another laugh, then that is a good thing.

My grateful thanks to the our clever comedians and to those who posted these videos on YouTube. The links below are a teeny-tiny fraction of my favourite comedy sketches:

I would love to know what comedy sketches make you laugh.

Simple quips too, for instance from Tim Vine.

I saw a TV for sale. £1. Volume stuck on full.

I can't turn that down!
